Journey to Republic Polytechnic

Posted by: Team OnTheRightTrack
Have you ever wondered what routes people living in North, South, East and West take to come to Republic Polytechnic? If so, this post is for you!

So, today we thought of an idea to make things slightly different for our blog!

Reporting On The Spot!
Instead of picking out our own destination and starting point, we carried out a quick interview on campus to find out the routes and choices that people take to get to RP.

We have specially helped you find out where they come from so that you can pick out what is best for yourself.

Watch the video below to find out more!

What We Observed!

Here are some main observations that we made from our interviews:

  • Students and visitors generally take the public transport to RP.
  • Walking to RP is not a popular choice.
  • Students and visitors come from all over Singapore.
  • Bus is a more popular mode of transportation.
Most of the people that we have talked to shared that they usually take public transport to RP even if they are living nearby. This does not really come as a surprise because RP is so close to a MRT station and bus interchange.

There is also quite a number of people staying in the East. From them, we discovered that Tampines is one of the more popular starting point for those who wish to get to RP.

We Want to Hear from You!
If you spot any trends in the video, do remember to share them with other readers here! You can also share your opinions on the routes that people are taking to get to RP as well by commenting below.

That’s it for now! Look out for our future updates as we use our findings here to explore the different routes to get to RP in a few days’ time.

  1. Loved the video! Engaging and interesting to know what other fellow students think about transport to school. Personally i find it a chore to walk from the MRT to RP and like to take bus as well!
